Fresh Parrot Food 2012

Written By: B.D. Butler - Feb• 19•12

I was recently told that video is important in any blog, especially if you want to engage your reader, and video is the future. Hey, who am I to argue? While I am writing my scripts, and trying to memorize my lines and find my light, this will just have to do. I got my new laptop, and there happened to be movie software installed, so I thought I would give it a go! Keep in mind this is my first moving pictures with music that I have ever made, so don’t call me Stephen Spielberg just yet.

Ingredients in this batch of food:

organic wheat rotini

oatmeal

flax-seed

hemp- seed

red chile flakes

yellow squash

kale

broccoli

cauliflower

parsley

cilantro

carrots

radishes

yellow pepper

red pepper

green pepper

quinoa

pearl barley

lentils

red cabbage

celery

Making fresh parrot food can be a little bit of a lengthy process, and can be a little overwhelming at first. My advice is to start with a couple “mini” batches, and work your way up. Make sure that you have time to make it properly, and the bagging is time consuming. In the long run, it’s worth it! Your parrots will thank you, and it’s a job that is so rewarding.

I had a great time making  making this video!
